Dare to Make a Choice program- Part of our term 4 inquiry.

Today was day 2 of the CHOICE program. Strategies was the main focus of this session we talked about how you need more than one strategy in life, just in case plan a doesn't quite work out. We also talked about what we want to be when we were older, what our goals in life were, as Constable Julie says "It's ok to move the goal posts as long as you have something to strive for", this got us all thinking about the people we want to be when we leave school. In this session we also discussed the major influences friends have on our lives, with decisions we make and the paths we take. We are now all fully equipped with things we need to do, and say when faced with peer pressure or are put in an uncomfortable situation at home or at school, and if need be the help lines we could call. Near the end of the session she got us to write a list that consisted of the type of friends that we would need/want to encourage us to be the best we can be! Everyone is working especially hard on this page because the person with the best page gets a prize! At the end of our time today with Constable Julie we did the words of wisdom page. Constable Julie is full of inspirational quotes!

Words of wisdom for the day:
-If you don't start... it is certain you won't arrive.
-Success is a journey-not a destination.
-Imagine your dream. Create your happiness. Live your life.
